Afkar S&P UAE UCITS ETF (DFM Trading Symbol: UAETF), is an Exchange Traded Fund incorporated and authorised in Ireland by the Central Bank of Ireland on 23rd June 2016. Afkar S&P UAE UCITS ETF is a sub fund of the Afkar ICAV, pursuant to the Irish Collective Asset-management Vehicles Act 2015 (ICAV Act) and UCITS Regulations. The Index is in the S&P UAE BMI Liquid 20/35 Capped Index. The Index is a modified weighted total return index measuring the performance of the most liquid United Arab Emirates domiciled companies in S&P UAE BMI Index and as of 21 June 2016 comprised 29 securities. The S&P UAE BMI Index is a comprehensive, rules-based index designed to measure stock market performance in the United Arab Emirates and forms the base component universe for the S&P UAE BMI Liquid 20/35 Capped Index.

UAETF seeks to provide investors with a total return, taking into account capital and income returns, which reflects the return of the S&P UAE BMI Liquid 20/35 Capped Index. In order to achieve its investment objective, the investment policy of this Fund is to invest 100% of its net assets in a portfolio of equity securities that consists of the equity securities of the Index.
