Details
Investors can submit a request via DFM eServices at www.dfm.ae or through the DFM Smart Services App.

Investors should request to obtain an Investor Number to give them the eligibility to trade on DFM and Nasdaq Dubai securities. Each investor can only request for one investor number.

Procedures

To submit a request via DFM eServices:

1. Register to DFM eServices atDFM WebsiteorDFM Smart Services App

2. Login with your username and password

3. Select the eFORMS tab

4. Choose the form

5. Fill the required information

6. Click ‘Submit’

 

Alternatively, you can submit your request at the DFM Client Services Affairs Desk, in person:

  1. Complete the Investor Number Request Form and sign it

*By presenting your original Emirates ID, it is not required to complete the form

  1. Attach the required documents along with the Form
  2. Submit the application with the documents to Clients Services Affairs Department
  3. The investor will receive the Investor Number through SMS

Notes:

The signature on the form should be authenticated bya bank, a licensed broker at DFM, a listed company at DFM, or by your personal presence at DFM


Required Documents

1. Completed Investor Number Form signed by the investor

2. Valid copy of the Passport

3. Valid copy of Emirates National ID (for UAE Nationals & Residents)

4. True copy of the UAE Family Book/Marsoom (for UAE Nationals only)

5. Valid copy of Residential Visa (for UAE Residents only)

Notes:

  • In case of guardian (other than father): true copy of guardianship order issued by the court
  • In case of representative: true copy of a duly authenticated and valid Power of Attorney
  • Any document issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries

FAQs

Your presence is not required if your signature on the form is authenticated by an accredited bank, a listed company or a brokerage firm licensed in DFM. Alternatively, a representative holding a duly authenticated Power of Attorney, can submit your form and must present your original passport (signed).
Yes. Investors below the age of 21 are considered minors, and therefore the guardian must sign the Investor Number (NIN) Request Form on behalf of the minor.
Opening an Investor Number (NIN) is a free of charge service.
