Issuing Investor Number (Heirs Account)

Details
An Investor Number is issued under the name of the heirs only if a representative is available to take control over the shares of the deceased

Fees

Procedures
    1. Complete the “Investor Number Request Form” and have it duly signed by the Representative of all Heirs
    2. Attach the required documents
    3. Submit to the Clients Services Affairs Department
    4. An Investor Number of Heirs Account will be issued

    Notes:

    The signature on the form should be authenticated by a bank, a licensed broker at DFM, a listed company at DFM, or by your personal presence at DFM


Required Documents
  1. Completed Investor Number Request Form signed by the Representative
  2. Original copy of Death Certificate.
  3. True copy of the Death Certificate, original copy of the Legal Declaration and/or Inheritance Limitation, duly certify
  4. Valid Copy of Representative's Passport or Emirates ID.
  5. True copy of a duly authenticated and valid Power of Attorney must be including the names of all Heirs
  6. Valid Passports copy of all Heirs
  7. Valid copy of National ID of all Heirs (for UAE Nationals & Residents)

Notes:
Power of Attorney that are issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE embassy in those countries

Online through DFM eServices or in person at the DFM Client Affairs Department, Trading Floor, World Trade Centre, Dubai

FAQs

Your presence is not required if your signature on the form is authenticated by an accredited bank, a listed company or a brokerage firm licensed in DFM. Alternatively, a representative holding a duly authenticated Power of Attorney, can submit your form and must present your original passport (signed).
Opening an Investor Number (NIN) is a free of charge service.
