Issuing Investor Number (Heirs Account)

Details
An Investor Number is issued under the name of the heirs only if a representative is available to take control over the shares of the deceased

Fees
Free of Charge

Procedures
  1. Complete the “Investor Number Request Form” and have it duly signed by the Representative of all Heirs
  2. Submit the form along with the required documents to the Clients Services Affairs Department
  3. The investor Number will be issued instantly and provided to the authorized person
  4. An SMS will be sent with the NIN number

 

Notes:
Investor’s specimen signature affixed on either the Investor Number Request Form must be certified by one of the following :

  • DFM staff at DFM Client Services Affairs Desk
  • Licensed Brokerage Firm at Dubai Financial Market
  • An accredited Bank in UAE licensed by UAE Central Bank
  • Notary Public and UAE embassy in foreign countries or by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Required Documents
 
  1. Completed Investor Number Request Form signed by the Representative
  2. Original copy of Death Certificate.
  3. True copy of a certified Legal Declaration and/or Inheritance Limitation
  4. Valid Copy of Representative's Passport or Emirates National ID.
  5. Valid copy of a duly authenticated Power of Attorney issued by the court on behalf of all Heirs
  6. Valid copy of the passport or Emirates National ID of all Heirs
  7. Any document issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE Embassy in those countries

How to Apply?
Submit your request in person at the DFM Client Services Affairs Department, Trading Floor, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, or submit the request through your broker.

FAQs

Your presence is not required if your signature on the form is authenticated by an accredited bank, a listed company or a brokerage firm licensed in DFM. Alternatively, a representative holding a duly authenticated Power of Attorney, can submit your form and must present your original passport (signed).
Opening an Investor Number (NIN) is a free of charge service.
