Sharia Board - dr Abdulla

Dr. Abdullah Salim Al Taha

 Associate Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence and its Foundations in the Department of Sharia at the College of Law at the United Arab Emirates University.

 He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Islamic jurisprudence and its origins from Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. He also obtained a master’s and doctorate in Islamic jurisprudence from the same university.

 He is a member of the Sharia Standards Committee in Dubai of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). He taught various scientific courses in Islamic financial transactions, for undergraduate and postgraduate law students.

 He authored scientific materials printed in sections of Islamic financial transactions jurisprudence. In addition to his judging and discussion of many research papers and dissertations in this field, including promotion research. He has also participated in various conferences and seminars related to Islamic finance, both locally and internationally.

Dr Moosa

Dr. Moosa Khoory

Head of Internal Sharia Audit at Dubai Islamic Bank and a member of many Sharia Boards and Committees in the UAE and abroad, including Dubai Financial Market, Amlak Finance, Aman Insurance and several boards at AAOIFI.

He is the Founder Chairman of the “Sharia Professionals Association”, the first of its kind in the UAE. He is also a member in the Governors Board at International School of Creative Science and a member of the Consultancy Board at University of Sharjah’s College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.

He holds Master’s Degree in Islamic Law & Legal Theory from University of Sharjah.
