What is Retail Sukuk?Retail Sukuk are Shariah-compliant investment instruments that allow individual investors to earn regular profit over the duration of the Sukuk, or until they sell it. The profit is calculated based on the Sukuk’s profit rate and is paid either annually or multiple times a year, depending on the Sukuk’s terms.

If held until maturity, investors receive their initial investment amount back. Retail Sukuk are issued in smaller denominations, starting from AED 1,000, making them accessible to individual investors.

Retail Sukuk are listed and traded on Nasdaq Dubai, giving investors the flexibility to buy or sell their holdings before maturity.

Who Can Invest

Sukuk are open to both institutions and individuals. Who can take part depends on each offer, though. Some are open to everyone, while others are limited to institutions only or to individuals only. Always check the terms of the specific offer before you apply.

  • UAE Nationals & Residents holding a valid Emirates ID, when the offer is open to individuals
  • New and existing DFM investors, no prior experience required
  • Institutions, with their own eligibility set per offer
  • Each offer sets its own eligibility, so availability can differ from one Sukuk to the next

A NIN is required to subscribe and trade. NINs may be obtained through any of the following:

How to Subscribe to Retail Sukuk? Subscribe during the designated subscription window through your preferred DFM platform. An active DFM Investor Number (NIN) is required.

Go to IPO / Sukuk Subscriptions in the DFM App and follow the step-by-step guided flow to subscribe in minutes.

Open iVestor and navigate to Subscriptions. The app guides you step-by-step and allows payment via your iVestor Card.

Receiving Banks

You may also subscribe through the issuer’s receiving bank. The Prospectus provides details of the participating bank and the available subscription methods.
